Library Information

A library is a part and parcel of every educational institution. The knowledge contained in the prescribed courses has to be complemented and supplemented by studying books and journals provided by a library. Our college library maintains sufficient titles covering the various disciplines of Pharmacy and life sciences. There are large number of national and international journals, magazines and back volumes.

These are procured in order to keep the students and teachers abreast of the ongoing research findings in the different fields of knowledge. The library comprises of Librarian office, Issue return counter, Stack area and reading room. It is managed by dedicated library staff comprising of Assistant librarian, Library attendant and a supporting staff member.

. Currently computerization of library has been started with the use of library Management software. Up gradation of reading room and stack room facility is under consideration. Our aim is to develop the library a center for information and knowledge to the members of pharmacy and allied profession in particular and to the public in general.

Book Bank Scheme: Being a govt. institute library, it also caters to the need of students belonging to the weaker sections of the society though the provision of book bank facility. Under this scheme the required books are issued to them for the entire academic year.

Digital Library Facility: e-journals: We offer about 446 online e-journals from various branches of Pharmacy and Life Science in the college campus through DELNET subscription. The accessible e-journals are essential and frequently used in pharmacy curriculum. This facility (surfing, downloading and printing) is made available to the faculty and registered students, they can access any article/research papers of their interest from the list of journals using any computer connected to institute network. For accessing any e-journal one has to browse website link provided by Springer (https://link.springer.com).

e-books: Similar to e-journals we also offer about 100 e-books from various areas of pharmacy and Life Science.

Magazines and News papers: Selected Magazines and Wide circulation news papers are available for reader in English, Hindi and Marathi (regional) language.

Reading Room: Reading room facility is available for the students during the college hours. The reading room with capacity of 50 is available for the students and staff from 10.00 am to 5.45 pm.
